What CCEC Has Done
- September 2006, Partnership formed between CCEC and Spartanburg
Day School to help SDS to successfully recruit a Chinese teacher and launch
Chinese program at SDS Lower School, the classes started on September 18,
2006
- September 2006, Spartanburg Chinese School was established to
offer weekend
Chinese classes for children and adults
- June 2006, CCEC organized a trip to China to visit Chinese
elementary schools, middle schools and colleges in three different cities to
investigate potential exchange opportunities with American schools. A family
camp program for Spartanburg Day School families and all other interested
families that would integrate language learning for students with tourist
attractions for adults is under planning for year 2007
- February 2006, CCEC and SDS successfully organized the Chinese
New Year celebration party and more than 150 people participated.
- February 2006, Chinese language training program was designed and
offered to an international company in Inman.
- January 2006, Chinese classes were offered at USC Upstate as
After-School/Continuing Learning program and opened to public
- October 2005, Chinese Language Club started at Spartanburg Day
School
- July 2005. Trip to China was organized and a local high school
student

- September 2004, Chinese Class was offered at Cross Culture
Institute of America
